An installation for Comme des Garçons Parfums by designer Faye Toogood marked the launch of the new fragrance, Blackpepper, with a sculptural interpretation of the scent’s enigmatic topnotes. The display space, and accompanying window design at Selfridges in London, drew upon the idea of molecular collision inherent in Blackpepper, creating a series of sculptural pods in deepest midnight black. The rounded, abstracted forms were finished in a coating of sleek industrial rubber relating to Toogood’s gallery furniture pieces.
